I have over 20 years of experience working as an educational researcher, 10 years working as a university instructor, and seven years serving on graduate committees. My educational research experience includes my role as Senior Director for Program Accountability within Wake County Public School System’s Data, Research, and Accountability Department. I have conducted and/or collaborated on a multitude of evaluations and research studies. In 2011, I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Policy Analysis from North Carolina State (NCSU). Over the past 10 years, I have served as an adjunct professor at NCSU teaching graduate courses related to statistical analysis and data-based decision making and currently serve on numerous doctorial committees. In January 2012, I was selected to represent the district as a Strategic Data Project (SDP) agency fellow as part of a collaborative project with Harvard University. As an SDP agency fellow, I received professional development focused on technical skill development and resources for developing strategies to address policy and technical issues. In 2018, I began working at Walden University where I serve as a chair and methodologist on dissertation committees. In 2020, I began working as a writing and statistics coach at Northcentral University. Through my experience supporting students within a variety of university settings, I have gained a keen understanding of the consistent expectations required for student success. It has been my privilege to provide students guidance as they progress through the doctoral process. I am a teacher, researcher, and coach by profession; and I believe that these roles operate together as an irremovable set. My coaching draws on teaching and research experience. As a researcher, I consider it an honor to support those who teach our next generation of researchers, scholars, teachers, and practitioners in all fields. As a coach and teacher, I consider it my privilege to share what I have learned and empower others to understand how to conduct their own research.
